The Lowcountry COG was awarded a USDOT Safe Streets 4 All (SS4A) Planning Grant to develop a Safety Action Plan for its four-county region of Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton, and Jasper counties. We aim to identify safety constraints in each of the communities comprising LCOG’s four-county region, develop a plan for mitigating these trends, and position each community to apply for funding through the SS4A program.

- Goals and Objectives: The Steering Committee developed a DRAFT set of goals and objectives for the Safety Action Plan.
- Safety Summit: A stakeholder Safety Summit took place on January 25, 2024. Click here for more information on the Summit.
- Public Engagement Kickoff: Lowcountry COG will be hosting a series of public meetings across the Lowcountry region as part of the development of the Safety Action Plan. The public meetings seek to gain authentic and meaningful public input from community members across the region. Information about the public meetings can be found below.
